ICT Division is working with Ministry of Foreign Affairs to develop neural networks
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working to ensure fast and better services through innovation and e-governance activities, said Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen.
He said this in the president's speech at a review meeting (town hall meeting) on innovation and e-governance activities organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday (July 19).
In a circular sent from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was informed that the Foreign Secretary highlighted the initiatives and future plans regarding the ongoing innovation and e-governance activities in the Ministry.
He said, for the purpose of simplifying ministry services, increasing efficiency and ensuring transparency, the ministry is working with the Department of Information and Communication Technology, a2i and Bangladesh Computer Council to launch e-documents/d-documents in ministries and missions, launched GRP, created online archives and created neural networks to ensure data-based decision-making.
Referring to the inauguration of the "unified website" for all Bangladesh missions on July 7, the foreign secretary said, as a result of the launch of the unified website, different information of the respective missions will be available on the same outlook website of 81 Bangladesh missions and ministries.
He said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the help of the MyGov team, has been able to introduce ibus++ system in 34 consular services of the Ministry, 28 internal services and 20 Bangladesh embassies abroad in the financial year 2021-22 on the digital platform.
Among the future plans of the ministry, he mentioned the establishment of innovation lab, creation of trade portal, creation of platform for domestic entrepreneurs in combination with related government and private institutions, use of artificial intelligence in data analysis.
Foreign Ministry Director General (Administration) DM Salah Uddin Mahmud, Director General (General Services) Mohammad Hazrat Ali Khan, Director General (International Trade, Investment and Technology) Syed Muntasir Mamun and other senior officials were present.
